Privacy Policy
1. Data Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Bogdan-Raul Sandor (BSTrans)
Kastellstr. 20
63486 Bruchköbel
Germany
Phone: +49 173 8858637
Email: info@bstrans.de
Further details about the provider can be found in our Imprint.
2. General Information and Mandatory Notices
Protecting your personal data matters to us. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection rules (GDPR, German Federal Data Protection Act / BDSG) and this privacy policy. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally. The notice below explains which data we collect when you visit this website and use our services, and for what purposes we use it. Data processing on this website is carried out by the controller named in Section 1.
3. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by an external service provider. The provider is STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The personal data collected when you visit this website is stored on the provider's servers.
When you access our purely static website, the provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. This data includes:
- the page or file requested,
- the date and time of access,
- the amount of data transferred,
- a message indicating successful retrieval (HTTP status code),
- the address of the previously visited page (referrer URL),
- the browser used and, where applicable, your operating system and the name of your access provider,
- your IP address.
This data is not merged with any other data sources. It is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of its website. The IP addresses are deleted automatically after a short period, as a rule after 7 days.
We have entered into a data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) with the host pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, ensuring that the host processes our visitors' personal data only on our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
4. SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content – such as the enquiries you send us as the site operator – this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
5. Contact and Enquiry Form (Quote Request)
You can use our enquiry form to request a non-binding transport quote. In doing so, we process the data you provide in order to handle your enquiry and prepare a quote for you.
The following details are processed: pickup and delivery location, dimensions and weight of the consignment, preferred pickup and delivery date, your name, your email address, your telephone number and your message. Mandatory fields are marked as such. Providing this data is neither legally nor contractually required and is voluntary; however, without the information marked as mandatory we cannot process your enquiry.
For processing, the data from the form is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our own order and quotation system at bstrans.eu (the BSTrans customer portal). This system is operated by the same controller (see Section 1); it is not an external third-party provider. Your data is not passed on to any third parties. Within that system, your enquiry is logged as a new order and the controller is notified by email. After submitting, you are redirected to a confirmation page (/en/thank-you/).
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or initiating a transport contract. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling the enquiries addressed to us effectively (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To prevent spam, the form contains a check field that is not visible to you; if any input is detected in it, the submission is discarded. No further personal data is collected in this process.
The data you enter remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for storing it no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory retention periods (in particular under commercial and tax law) remain unaffected.
6. Google Maps
On our contact page we embed the Google Maps mapping service (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). However, the map is not loaded automatically: it is retrieved from Google only when you actively click the “Load map” button. Before this click, no connection to Google's servers is established and no data is transmitted to Google.
The legal basis for loading the map is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you grant by clicking and can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. When you click the button, data – including your IP address, date/time and browser and device information – is transmitted to Google and may be forwarded to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If you are logged in to your Google account, Google may associate the data with your account.
For the transfer to the USA, Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF); in addition, Google relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can find more information in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Cookies and Tracking
This website deliberately does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, or advertising and social media modules. No non-essential cookies are set, no user behaviour is analysed and no profiles are created. For this reason, we do not need a cookie banner or any consent within the meaning of § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications-Digital-Services Data Protection Act). The only exception is the mapping service you actively start yourself (see the “Google Maps” section).
8. Fonts (Self-Hosted)
To display fonts consistently, this website uses locally hosted fonts (including “Archivo” and “IBM Plex”). The font files are loaded exclusively from our own server. No connection to third-party servers – in particular to Google Fonts or an external content delivery network – takes place when the fonts are loaded; no data (such as your IP address) is transmitted to third parties in this process.
9. Your Rights as a Data Subject
With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights:
- the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
- the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
- the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- the right to withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
To exercise these rights or if you have any questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time using the contact details given in Section 1.
10. Right to Object to Data Processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (Art. 21(1) GDPR). You can send your objection informally using the contact details given in Section 1.
11. Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
(the Hesse Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Postfach 31 63, 65021 Wiesbaden
(street address: Wilhelmstraße 7, 65185 Wiesbaden)
Phone: +49 611 1408-0
Email: poststelle@datenschutz.hessen.de
Web: https://datenschutz.hessen.de
12. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. The transmission of data via this website – in particular via the enquiry form – is encrypted (SSL/TLS).
13. Validity and Changes to this Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is current and is effective as of June 2026. As our website develops further, or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy.
